I have an X-Treme 500 electric scooter that I messed up the wiring on, and I don’t know how to reconnect – if anyone knows how I could get a schema for such a thing, I’d really appreciate it.
Anyway, when I DO figure out how to reconnect, can I just solder the wires to make the connections ? I have a soldering gun and some solder.
Being that I live in California, alternate modes of transportation are necessary – I have to dust off my old scooter

You first strip the wire insulation back about an inch or so and then twist them together tightly. Next, the simplest thing to do is screw on a "wire nut" which is the same thing they use to connect wires together in house wiring. Or, you can solder the twisted wires together and use black electrical tape to wrap the bare connection.
Solder will work fine. Just make sure you get some heat shrink to cover the connections once they are done.
Yes, just make sure your using solder meant for wires. Some solder meant for pipes have flux in them resulting in a spotty electrical connection.
Go to the manufacturer’s web site and you can down load a wiring schematic for your scooter. Solder makes an excellent conduit for electricity if it is done properly. Make sure the two wire ends are clean; slightly twist them together; hold the solder against the gun until it just starts to melt (this is tinning the tip); apply the soldering gun to the wires first, then apply the solder. When the solder begins to flow over the wires, remove the heat and solder roll. Let it cool, then wrap the splice with electrical tape.
yep you can do that but make sure after you solder it that you wrap some electrical tape around it so it won,t get against something and short it out or you could just use a butt connector and hook both ends together. if your going to solder make sure you have the right solder. i always use rosin core. it has the flux already in it. solder like acid core is usually for plumbing.
Solder is is the electrical conduit that is used. If you
have cut wires the color codes of each should be
a guide as to how they must reconnect. If you
removed wires from a circuit board you do need
the schematic to see where they go. You can
get that through this website:

If you have repair to make on a circuit board where
you have broken some of the copper circuit runs
off the board you can solder a small piece of
copper wire to bridge the two ends of that run
together.
Electrical tape is good to insulate your solder
connection of wires, but you can also use some
liquid tape if you have it. Just be sure to coat
the connection, let it dry, then coat it again.
Good luck.
