One of mine is this: I heard once of someone with a miniature power plant on his land and he makes his own electricity. He also has a surplus that he can sell off. Why could we all do this? Talk about no more mass power outages. You rely on your self and not on what someone else might do. I hate the stupidity of others sometimes and I try to make it so that I can just move around instead of subject myself to their choices.
